Code of conduct

Conference codes of conduct have become a standard in the astronomy community. In this context, since 2017, the organisers have decided to adopt a code of conduct for the BASP Frontiers workshop. They simply believe that stating the obvious can help us making sure the obvious is not ignored. The following paragraph is a short version of the “London Code of Conduct“, as originally designed for the conference “Accurate Astrophysics. Correct Cosmology”, held in London in July 2015.

The organizers are committed to making this meeting productive and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, nationality or religion. Behave professionally. Harassment and sexist, racist, or exclusionary comments are not appropriate. All communication should be appropriate for a professional audience including people of many different backgrounds. Be kind to others. Do not insult or put down other attendees. Any participant who wishes to report a violation of this policy is asked to speak, in confidence, to the organizers.
